James G. Fountain of New York filed to organize the Ramsey County Bank on November 27, 1858 with a capital of $110,000. The bank never opened for business. On November 11, 1858 the auditor authorized Bald, Cousland & Co. to engrave a 1-2-3-5 plate and print 10,000 impressions, amounting to $110,000.
